Frequently Asked Questions

Is Pok Pok LA kid friendly?

Yes, we have booster seats and high chairs. We do not have kid menus, but can work with you to find something appropriate.

What is the food like?

We serve food found at pubs, restaurants, homes and the streets of Southeast Asia with the majority of the food coming from Thailand, and specifically from the North and Northeast of Thailand. We use local product when possible and practical. We do not use MSG. While we are not specifically vegetarian friendly, all our vegetarian dishes are either vegan or can be made vegan, and there are usually about a half dozen of those on the menu.

Do you offer free-range meats and organic produce?

We use local and natural products when possible and practical. Since we serve Southeast Asian food, organic produce is of limited availability in the product we use, due to our climate, and the fact that most Asian produce is not a commodity on the market. Free-range meats are generally priced beyond what our clients are willing to pay for the food we do serve. However, we do use natural meats and poultry in almost every instance, as well as wild caught prawns when available.

Can I use my foreign driver's license to purchase alcohol?

Yes, so long as it’s state issued, non-expired and can be verified in the industry standard, ID Checking Guide. We are unable to accept resident alien cards or Canadian health cards.

Do all Pok Pok properties accept the same gift cards?

Yes, though some cards look different, they are universally accepted at all properties.

Does Pok Pok LA have parking?

There is a great deal of parking at the Mandarin Plaza lot. We do offer a discount towards hourly parking at our plaza’s lot, while dining at Pok Pok LA. Please note that we do not own or manage the lot. Hours of availability, rates, access and lot security are managed by an outside vendor. Pok Pok LA is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to your vehicle while parked at Mandarin Plaza.

Is Pok Pok LA handicap-accessible?

Yes, lounge and patio areas are ADA compliant.

What is in your water?

Our drinking water is flavored with pandanus leaf, as is done often in Northern Thailand, which gives it that toasted rice/vanilla/grassy flavor.

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes, all of our indoor seating areas are air-conditioned.

Do you accept reservations?

We offer reservations for lunch and dinner services through OpenTable. If an reservation is not available at your preferred time, we welcome you to join us as a walk-in guest. We have an ample amount of seating, including two bars offering full dining service.

Can I call and get my name on the wait list before I get there?

We place names on the waitlist for guests who are here in person. Out of fairness to others, we do not take names over the phone.

I have food allergies. Can Pok Pok LA accommodate me?

Yes, we provide a copy of our menu that identifies allergens upon request. Gluten, dairy, nut, soy and shellfish allergies are addressed on this menu. However, we do not prepare off-menu dishes specifically for individual dietary and allergic needs; this is simply not practical, nor in some cases possible. Sorry!

Does Pok Pok LA deliver?

We offer many our our items for delivery through Caviar, an app-based and online delivery service. Click on the “ORER DELIVERY” button from our menu page.

Can I bring my pets into Pok Pok LA?

We do not allow animals, aside from guide animals, in the seating areas of Pok Pok LA.
